Many times I avoided a bad purchase just by reading a few careful comments. A simple and honest answer like 鈥渨e do not have that option鈥?is better than marketing fluff. If the first order goes well, I slowly try more products from the same place. I think it is better to build a small collection of reliable products than to buy random cheap things. I like when a shop clearly shows PD, lens height and bridge width in millimeters.

This is why I like reading and posting on forums and community websites. Whenever I find something that actually works well, I tend to reorder it later. Good packaging and a small storage bag are also nice touches for accessories. I try to balance my budget between basic everyday items and a few special pieces. When I test a new shop I usually start with one or two items instead of a huge order. Even big and famous brands sometimes send generic replies that are not very helpful. If many different people say the same thing about a product, it is worth paying attention. Nobody wants pretty shoes that hurt after ten minutes of walking.
