The ones that are completely mounted suck their air from the interior area, and thus work much more efficiently. This portable unit of ours was dismantled and installed by myself earlier than we left, and it now pulls air from inside our camper, and warms it, and sends it again out. All things being equal, the air will get warmer in time and the Alpha Heater info slows down to keep up the temperature. I have seen these models put in on the inside of various setups, with the exhaust going by a gap, and out of doors (for apparent causes). I don’t like this, as the diesel tank is then inside, which smells, and can simply leak (our lid just lately stopped screwing on tight), and whilst we used to transport it inside the canopy, I made sure it didn’t have a lot gasoline inside as it was all the time a danger. I wasn’t eager on putting in the diesel heater before we left, however I’m very glad we did. It’s a lot nicer than having to lug a portable unit around, and its at all times able to go if you need it. |
