In a latest podcast I did with Ken from the Prepper Podcast we talked about grid down scenarios and what we will do about them. Right after that podcast I decided to construct my own DIY portable solar generator. My plans are to build a solar generator that can run my well pump in a grid down event, and whereas this generator does not have the power to continually run it, I have set it up to have the ability to scale up pretty simply. Keep in thoughts as you learn this I'm no professional, as a matter of reality I had little or no data other than photo voltaic panels accumulate power, send it to the battery and you can turn on a mild. Now that I've accomplished this I have a greater concept about watts, amps, volts and what makes it all work collectively. There are fairly just a few article about how electricity works, and sometimes it’s too much info for my mind to absorb (repercussions of a misspent youth I suppose), so I'm going to keep this text a simple as possible and hopefully all of it is sensible to you at the tip.
